Classes offered in the BMDCO 2006 Specialty Show

Sweepstakes and Conformation 

SPECIALTY SWEEPSTAKES

Sweepstakes: 6-9 months, 9-12 months, 12-15 months, 15-18 months, (separate classes for dogs and bitches).  To enter this class, the dog must be entered in one of the CKC regular classes.

Veteran Sweepstakes: 7-9 years, 9-11 years,  11 years & over (separate classes for dogs and bitches).  To enter this class, the dog must be entered in one of the CKC regular classes or Exhibition Only.

Three Generation Sweepstakes: [ Description: Entry consists of  three dogs in a 3 generation DIRECT line (eg. Mother--son/daughter--grandson/granddaughter or Father-- son/daughter--grandson/granddaughter).  The 3 dogs are shown together (handled separately) to be judged on similarity of type (similar to brood bitch & progeny or stud & get).] Dogs may be neutered/spayed, and breeder(s)/owner(s) do NOT need to be identical.  To enter this class, the dog must be entered in one of the CKC regular classes or Exhibition Only.

PARADE OF VETERANS

Any Bernese Mountain Dog who is seven years of age or over on the date of the show may enter the Parade of Veterans. All dogs must be entered in an Official Class or Exhibition Only.
 

SPECIALTY CONFORMATION

Regular Classes: Junior Puppy, Senior Puppy, 12-15 Months, 15-18 Months, Canadian Bred, Bred By Exhibitor, Open, Veterans, Specials Only, Exhibition Only.

Unofficial Classes: Awards of Merit, Brace, Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Parade of Veterans.  To enter these classes, the dog must be entered in one of the CKC regular classes or Exhibition Only.

Sexually Altered Classes (separate classes for dogs and bitches) For all Bernese Mountain Dogs over the age of six months who have been sexually altered by veterinary procedure. All CKC Dog Show Rules and Regulations apply to this class.
